Plombergstein — Attraction in Sankt Gilgen

The view from the top is really nice and the hike to is great as well. We went up through the forest down through the rocks. There's a 2 parking lots just after the Billa You do need decent shoes to get to the top, since a you're ascending pretty past from that direction. We followed the signs to Plombergstein (black dot) and returned through the signs to St Gilgen (red dot). When there are multiple options for St Gilgen take the right path and as soon as you see signs to Plombergstein (black dot) you need to follow those again to return to your starting point. Tolle leichtere Wanderung, die nicht lange Dauert und die man sehr gut für ein aktives halb Tagesprogramm einbinden kann. Wir fanden die Wanderung nicht all zu schwer, sie ist auch zu 90% im Schatten was sie besonders an heißen Tagen sehr attraktiv macht, mann kann sich danach mit einer Abkühlung im See belohnen. Wir sind sie natürlich mit Wanderschuhen gegangen und mit Kindern muss man aber schon dazusagen dass es nicht ganz ungefährlich ist, wenn die Steine nass sind. Die Aussicht dort oben ist einfach wunderschön und man kann selbstmitgebrachte Brotzeit oben auf der Bank genießen. Weiterer Vorteil, man kann im Ort für vier Stunden kostenlos parken, die reichen völlig aus, mit Kindern muss man natürlich mehr Zeit einplanen - es bieten sich nämlich am Rundweg einige Stellen für eine Rast und Spiele...
