We recently visited Dr. Vogelgesangtklam Gorge and found it to be a pleasant experience.
The gorge itself is visually interesting and offers a manageable walk-through for children – our 3-year-old was able to navigate it without difficulty. However, we’d recommend bringing a carrier for younger children, as the walk is considerable in length and can be tiring.
The parking was spacious and offered convenient payment options via app or automated machines. Getting there might be challenging, as the road is rather narrow and we had to back up or squeeze ourselves with approaching car from the other direction several times. Once parked, It’s approximately a 15-minute walk to the gorge entrance.
Tickets are cash only or bought through web, QR codes are displayed at parking and near ticket office.
We spent around an hour and a half exploring the gorge, and then took the road down to our parked car.
The gorge offers a good half-day trip for a family, with a lovely walk through a beautiful, if somewhat unassuming, natural setting. It’s a nice place to spend a few hours, and well worth a visit if you're looking for a gentle...

They do drinks outside from the mountain water and serve little snacks like cheese bread, potato bread, a small meat plate with bread etc. Had a great time there, beautiful...

The actual core part of the gorge is not more than only 800 meters long from the entrance to the waterfall (plus an ~500 meters simple walk from the closest parkplace to the entrance itself). I completed the gorge with a really peaceful speed in only 20-25 mins, then I took the ‘B’ path when coming back, that one was like 45 mins - again, in peaceful pace - instead of 75 mins as they state. So, it is beautiful indeed but its suggested size is an...
