The alplochslucht (a bit further away) is beautiful but the rappenlochslucht is simply not worth it. The slucht used to be beautiful but they removed a lot of the walls and the bridge so now you only see rubble. Parking and roads aren't clear and before you know it you're on a tiny road - because of road works - this road has no turning possibilities, is incredibly small and dangerous. Make sure you turn left to the museum to park and do not turn right, because it is very hard to get off that road. The paths are well maintained and give you a great view on the gorge and nature. On a sunny day there’s plenty over shade from the surrounding trees. The route is partially under construction and was unclear if we could go around to make it back to the parking or not. So after an hour we took the same road back. Read moreI knew from the photos I saw before I travelled to Dornbirn that I wanted to visit this landmark. If you are coming here I recommend the number 47 bus from Dornbirn station. The gorge was worth the journey. I was amazed by the size and beauty of the all rivers, rocks and trees. Autumn is coming and the golden colours of the leaves were just starting to come thorough.
