A camp to avoid but there is little choice if you want to be close to Linz. Good grass, lots of charging points and nice surroundings but those are the few good points. Sanitaries were disgusting and hadn’t been cleaned in days. No soap provided. We were told they were cleaned every day. That was a lie. Both men’s showers were blocked and water could not drain away. Rubbish bag hadn’t been emptied for at least a week, maybe two. We waited about 10 minutes before someone could see us about the camping. Even though they were busy in the restaurant at the time, we were also customers and they could have acknowledged us. Key to grounds need a deposit and despite giving assurances that they came in at 8am for deposit refund, they were 30mins late. One other couple gave up waiting and left without a refund. You have...
Read moreI prefer to wild camp so I'm not bothered about having fancy facilities. The area itself is enclosed in a wire fencing and gets filled up quickly. There were a lot of people camping very close to one another. It didn't feel like you were in the nature. The toilets are fine, but I am surprised that the showers cost €0.50. They are spacious and suitable. The only comment would be to have thermostatic valves, as the temperature can be overbearing and unsuitable for little ones.
The reception is in the restaurant next door, which has good food but can be rather busy and impact camper reception.
The site has a large turnover of cyclists, and bike access to the city is also easily accessible.
Pleschinger See is beautiful but can be busy. The water when we went was warmer than our local swimming...
