Nice lake right at the bottom of huge mountains. It's a small area and a round walk is doable within 1 hour. From here you can also start your hike up to 1800 or 2200 metres where you'll find small cottages for drinks and snacks. Be aware of land- and rockslides that are frequent very close to the mountains. At the lake there's a restaurant serving local warm and cold dishes.
Be mindful of the wildlife and nature reserve, so take all your trash back home with you!
Note that the road to the lake is closed during the day (8:00-17:00) due to new natural reserve protection rules. The parking space right next to the lake is open during the aforementioned times. Should you arrive at other times, turn left just before the gate to find parking spaces (5€ per day). You'll need to either walk the rest of the way or take the tourist carriage/bus from the town...

Absolutely amazing! During the week, there ia not to many people and one can truly appreciate the calmness and the silence... Visitors can either take a road train or cycle or walk all the way to the lake.
