It was a nice experience here at Yanar Dag, you could see the fire closely and take an amazing pictures...like mine 😊😋 but the secret is to come at night...you will see the beauty of the fire at night only...especially the different shades if the fire...from the dark blue to the light yellow.
Now you are wondering why I gave only 3 stars while I'm saying that it was so nice...the reason is that the area is so touristic and there is no care of the place to be like that !! Just a gate outside to take money to enter!! The road to this place was a nightmare!! Me and my friend came here by our rented car and the drive to here was not good at all...when we arrived we didn't know that we arrived to the place and we didn't believe the GPS...we went down and we weren't sure...and this of course is a government issue...they should really take care of such places...and I'm not talking about this only...there were other places like this...no care!!
Overall, I recommend to come here at night only and to take care if you are the driver...I'm not saying it's possible to drive to this place...but it's hard!

Read moreYanar Dag is an interesting spot to visit, though I’d describe it as more of an average attraction rather than an exceptional one. What makes it unique is the natural gas that burns continuously from the mountainside—a fascinating natural phenomenon that's definitely worth seeing.
Watching the flames flicker is mesmerizing and adds a unique charm to the experience, especially if you visit during the evening when the fire looks even more vibrant. We went at night, and while the burning flames were the highlight, there wasn’t much else to explore during those hours.
I do feel the ticket prices could be more affordable, as they seemed a bit high for what’s on offer. However, the on-site bakery was a pleasant surprise, offering decent snacks to enjoy while taking in the atmosphere.
Overall, it was a good experience for us, and I’d recommend visiting if you’re in the area—just be sure to time your visit for the evening to get the best views of the fire.

Read moreThis interesting site is located about 30 km from Baku. It is a natural gas fire that burns continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula. Flames can reach up to 3 to 10 meters high, fueled by natural gas seeping through porous sandstone, creating an “eternal flame” that has been burning for hundreds or thousands of years..This site is culturally significant, historically linked to the ancient Zoroastrian religion, which revered fire as a sacred symbol. Yanar Dag was a place of worship and is still considered holy by some Zoroastrians today. However, it seems that the flames have diminished significantly from a long time ago and there are now only pockets seeping from the mountain side. Nevertheless, well...
