Yesterday’s experience was breathtaking! My nieces and I took the leap of faith and decided to venture through the trails of the Preserve. Hesitant is what we were at the beginning, having been informed of the many species of birds and other wildlife. Nonetheless, once you begin your self-paced tour, the urge to explore is heightened by the many wonders that you behold. We learnt so many things along the way and the Preserve itself is quite picturesque, so for teenagers, or teenagers at heart, that was indeed a plus! :)

Perhaps the beauty of it all, was the view that we were privileged to see once at the top of Ethan’s Tower. The breeze was just right, which allowed for a refreshing break before we tackled the rest of our journey. We completed our tour in about two hours, due to the many “photo opps”and the desire to read about the plants and other wildlife and structures, along the way.

Once we arrived back at the Welcome Centre, we were once again greeted by Alvana who “schooled” us on quite a few areas around the Preserve. P.s. She is VERY knowledgeable! Overall, it was the best money that I’ve ever spent on a tour, and much like the wildlife, we felt young, wild and free!

I would definitely recommend this place to all persons, natives or tourists, young, but not so much the old, as some of the pathways are narrow and become a little steep. Take a camera with you, a bottle of water, and you’ll be ready for...

If you love #nature this is definitely the place you would want to visit whenever you # visit #Eleuthera.... I have seen this place being advertised in a local magazine 'The Eleutheran' and I've promised myself once I got some free time I'm going to # explore this property, so on Saturday 13 May, 2017 I've finally gotten the opportunity and this place had exceeded my expectation.... It was an amazing experience from the welcome center there are friendly staff that greet you, give instructions, and suggestions, even A few warnings especially if you're not a fan of reptiles because their are #native #snakes wandering around the property but fortunately we don't have #PoisonoisSnakes in #TheBahamas but what I love most about the plant preserve they have most of the plants Cleary marked with signs and information about the plants if they're good for medicinal use or making teas etc. I highly recommend that you stop by by the way there are several rest spots you can stop along the paths and enjoy the sounds of birds chirping or at my favorite spot the waterfall it's just...

What an amazing place!! Every time my wife and I visit the preserve new features and events have been added. There is so much to see. A great chip covered orchid lined hiking trail takes you up to Ethan's Tower where there are spectacular views of the ocean and countryside. Another trail leads to a complete weather station and then goes on to a huge display of local edible plants. A winding boardwalk allows you to see first hand the various species found in a mangrove swamp. Plants are identified by their numbers as you continue through to the bush medicine areas. Along the way there are many water features that provide habitats for local plants and animals. We've also been to the youth oriented Halloween and Christmas parties. Great care was taken by the staff to engage the young people and provide multitudes of opportunities for learning about their environment. Whether you have a day or few hours the time spent at the Levy Preserve will make you...

This place exceeded my expectations! Gorgeously surrounded by native plants, well marked, clean and easy to follow trails. Very clean and well maintained! It costs $10 to get in, they do offer senior discounts & probably for kids as well. You can call ahead to schedule a guided tour or choose to do a self guided tour like we did. Make sure you walk up to the top of Ethan’s Tower for a gorgeous bird eye view of the surroundings. Watch out for the Golden Orb Spiders, they are in abundance here. Gorgeous to look at though! Tip, go early if your here during the summer because naturally it gets real hot real quick! Not a whole lot of breeze because of the location. A definite must do if you’re into nature!

Excellent educational journey. Great jungle walk all over learning about the plant life and history of the Bahamas. Turtle feeding was so cute, but was unexpected. As soon as the turtles see you they all coming running(swimming) to be fed. I would suggest at least 2 packs of turtle food from the welcome center as we felt bad that we ran out and half the turtles didn't get any. If you plan to go up to the tower or weather station be careful and watchful of the huge spiders who like to spread across the trail.
