Most people would love to have an ocean view, and stay close to the beach. The Pineapple Fields is a set of 8 buildings. Most of them have no view of the ocean at all, as there are large palm and other trees. See pictures. Balcony view is only of palm trees - no ocean view. So that is disappointing. It did not feel like a resort in Bahamas. The beach view photo given on website is the beach, not a real picture of or from the resort. Secondly, there is a 5 min walk to the beach, so if you want to enjoy the beach, you have to carry your beach chairs and items back and forth. There are no rentals on the beach, so it becomes a big hassle to carry food, towels, chairs, or clean up after. Restaurant was across the road. So it is also a walk across the road. No breakfast options. There is no private beach, or any beach access directly from the property. You have to walk across a road to the restaurant, and then to the beach. Each room in the property is owned by separate people (on timeshare / ownership). So beware of reviews by people who stay there and may also be owners. For spending that kind of money ($250 or more per night), it is a LOT MORE worth taking a cottage ON THE BEACH. We used airbnb and stayed AT another place at the beach for 5 days and it was the best vacation. We got everything, including a full view and full access to the ocean. Please see my review of that place - Purple Papaya (for upto 3) and the pictures. Other similar properties also have more space (2-3 bedrooms) and are ON the beach.

#Eleutheran #Bahamian local response: "This hotel is very private and secluded almost hidden behind an array of beautiful garden vies of native plants and vegetation and depending on what cottage you are staying in you would be able to enjoy panoramic ocean views... The property is clean and easy to navigate with close parking to your room.... needless to mention or comment on the interior and decor of the property island style theme is eclectic and inviting you would definitely appreciate your stay here.... one of my favorite places to stay on Eleuthera outside of my home.... 10/10 #HighlyRecommended

Pineapple Fields forever (with apologies to The Beatles! ) Found our Caribbean heaven here in Eleuthera. Beautiful Condo, clean and modern c/w veranda and a rocking chair! The grounds are maintained with a lovely pool if feel the need for a change from the beach. Plus the restaurant Tippys, quite literally opposite, for an eating out on the beach experience.

Pineapple Fields Resort, was one of the best deals in Eleuthera & a nice place to stay without breaking the bank. We stayed on the second floor in 221, this place was just what I / we needed to come back to every night. The view was nice, the beach across the way was awesome “you really don’t need to go anywhere to find a nicer beach” this one is all you need. The pool was super nice at night as no one was ever around & so we had the place to ourselves. The maids were great and never came to early, they even washed our dishes. The room is a one bedroom condo thats large enough for more people than just us two. it has a kingsize bed, which had a great mattress, we loved it. A nice chest of drawers, a full size closet with a safe for your valuables, a 40” TV. This bedroom alone is as large as most Hotels. You also have a couch in the living room that pulls out to a full-size bed which will sleep two people. A full large size bathroom with a tub-shower combo, toilet and large sink. All the towels you will need Plus a washer dryer combo in between the bath and bedroom. A full kitchen & eating bar has everything you need to make breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the only thing that was missing was a dishwasher, which wasn’t missed because when we returned daily “ the dishes have been cleaned😊. Super maids & ones who you can trust 👏🏼. “ around your stuff. The living room was also large with the 2nd 40” TV. A large balcony with table, chairs and a nice seat-cot for reading & it looking out over the ocean and Tippy’s restaurant. This place is full of great fokes / I lost my Wallet on the second day there. I call the office and before I could go check the car, there were 3 workers who had been sent to look around the area. “Wow” this doesn’t happen in the USA 🇺🇸 in most places. I found it and it was left under the car seat by me🥴my falt as usual. The lady at the front desk was the best of everyone, she was so helpful alway willing to be helpful with anything we needed. She even contacted us when I hadn’t arrived on time. She let us know when she would be leaving and how I could get in touch with her or where I could find a key to the room.. We will be back. I wasn’t paid for this 5-star write-up, but I’ll surly take a voucher for next stay. And there will be...

What a lovely place to visit, wish we had stayed longer (instead of coming back to Nassau!). This venue (32 units I think) is privately owned but owners only have use of the facilities for 6 months of the year, hence at other times it is rented out. You definitely need a car - we collected ours at the airport and the hotel can provide you with a list of car hire companies. The rooms are set out as a bedroom (excellent bed and pillows), a good size bathroom (the water pressure was weak), a lounge and balcony/terrace and a very well appointed kitchen - ours also included water, tea and coffee. The rooms are made up daily and the staff are very friendly - Tammy and her team do a great job. We always did breakfast ourselves, so you need to stock up in Governor's Harbour on your way from the airport (you must fly to Governor's Harbour - GHB). There are no food facilities provided by the hotel, so I would recommend booking venues in advance. Tippy's is a 2 minute walk, but will get busy on band nights (Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday I think) - so book a table. There are also plenty of other places to eat, but other than the extremely good Potlatch Club (which is very expensive and only a 5 minute walk) you will need to drive. The roads are dark and with no pavements (if you are English) or sidewalks! Taxis are available but we didn't try them and no idea what the cost would be, probably not cheap. The wifi is great at the hotel and there is an attractive pool - not heated but in February it was warm enough. The best attraction though is the beautiful beach which is a 2 minute walk away and it runs for miles! Look for the high and low tide times if you really want a long walk. Looking forward to returning one day, a...

The bad and ugly If a clean, modern space is low on the priority list for you then this place will be a gem. Or if you're not prepared to clean the space yourself, please look elsewhere.

The unit was filthy. Tons of crumbs, old food stains, food remnants, and dust balls are all over the unit. Long hairs were all over the bathroom and on the living room couch. There was a black ring around the upper rim inside the toilet as if the toilet hadn't been cleaned in months. If I can see it, the cleaner can see it too right? no? sigh

Obviously this unit has not been cleaned in a very long time. Based on what we encountered, the unit may not have been cleaned properly in over a year or so.

The Good Property is quiet and tropical with lush trees all around. Units are situated in a way that provide privacy. I loved that because it felt like our own private oasis. The views were beautiful from the large balcony that had comfortable furniture for outdoor dining or lounging. Tippy's Restaurant and Bar is across the street right on the beach. There is a full kitchen if you prefer to make your own meals. Or like in our case, to store our adult beverages. :-) The bed was very comfortable. Good quality mattress and pillows. We slept very well. In-unit washer and dryer.

The 1 bedroom unit was very comfortable size-wise, for two people. Aside from the fact that it was very dirty upon check-in, and having to spend money to have the unit cleaned properly, we enjoyed our stay here.

To the owners and managers of this property, please get your cleaning...
