Yamacraw Beach — Attraction in New Providence

Loved that it was private..almost secluded. A few ppl came here and there.. but mostly to sit in cars. This is a small quiet cove. Myself and the family wanted something non tourist and this was it. Just a 10 min walk from our Airbnb and the kids loved it. Cons: quite a bit of rocks and broken bottles that probably were thrown off boats and washed up there so watch your feet. Also there were a few loose dogs in the neighborhood that weren't exactly friendly so hubby and I had to grab big sticks on the walk home. Beautiful water. I was very surprised to see so many trees that had been downed by prior hurricanes that had never been addressed or removed. A resident told me the government won't bother because it's not a top tourist destination. That's a bit sad, as this beach could be so much more appealing...

Small beach with a few locals and a few tourists coming and going. The water is shallow and there was a strong breeze to keep you cool on the beach. We didn’t venture too far from the parking lot, but there is quite a long stretch. Not much Beach at high tide. Lots of parking,...
