Good day to all. I was in this zoo in October 2024. Not an expensive place to visit, which left a terrible mark on my memory for a long time. It is because of the simply disgusting conditions in which the animals are kept. These are cramped, dirty cages located close to each other. A terrible smell that clearly will not air out, since cleaning is clearly neglected. Broken steel waterers with dangerous sharp edges for turtles. In some cages, animals are alone, and in others there are so many that they clearly do not have enough space. Also, the appearance of the animals themselves leaves much to be desired. Many of them need urgent medical care. But the administration is clearly in no hurry to treat the animals, and it seems that they make money on them while they are alive, and then simply replace them with others so as not to spend money on treatment. I was shocked by the condition of one monkey (attention, the description below is not for the faint of heart!) She looked very sick and depressed, quietly sitting on the branches. Her appearance was completely understandable. Her rectum was turned inside out, and excrement was just sticking out and discharge from the rectum was dripping. This picture stuck in my memory for a long time, I was terribly upset by such brutal treatment of animals and absolute indifference of people. I don’t know if anything has changed in this zoo over the year. But if you are a person with a big heart, great love for all living things, I strongly advise you not to go to this place and not to...
Read moreWas invited for breaking the fast (iftar) there yesterday (Sun, 26 Mar 2023) and i wasnt thrilled. Although about 5 years back, it wasnt as commercialized and was amazing.
There was an issue with the parking, ghe place was unorganized, no staff were there to welcome and assist with the seating, the buffet was most of the time out of food and took a very long time to be refilled. By the time your turn comes in the long queue, the trays will be empty and you had to wait again and take 2-3 rounds in the queuing. That too and the food wasnt good regretfully. For instance, the lasagnia was blunt and the hamour fillet tray had ladies fingers curry instead..etc
The animals part was nicer and better organized although the enclosures were very tiny for most of the species there. Even worst, was that some animals looked pretty sick with blood redded eyes, wounds which is a human hazard in my opinion.
Verdict: Not worth and requires many...
