A small zoo in Sreemangal which is developed by the attempt of a man named Mr. Shitesh. Various top and mid level government officials and political leaders have donated different types of support to establish the zoo. Deer, bear, monkeys, snakes, birds and some other animals are reared in the zoo. Animals are kept in different room with tags of the name so that visitors can easily understand and identify the animals. Kids can learn many things from the zoo. It’s very important to keep away the child from the closure of animal chambers. I have found an Aquarium in the zoo with different types of fishes. There are some animals those are not familiar or available in the Bangladesh for example “Dumba (Bengali name)” and “Sajaru (Bengali name) etc. It’s a place of natural beauty and also a tourist spot for the visitors like so many places in Sreemangal for entertainment. I wish every success of the zoo. I also give thanks to Mr. Shitesh for his wonderful attempt to develop a zoo in the upazilla level area. It is utmost to donate money for the better development of the zoo and government can also take some necessary actions for its...

The main attraction at Srimongal city is Shitesh Babu’s Mini Zoo. Hundreds of visitors everyday visit this private zoo situated at Ramkrisnna mission road of the city. Many rare mammals are there to attract the visiting guests. That include white tiger, golden tiger, python, tortoise and wide collection of county’s rare birds.

Some of the most beautiful and rare animals of Bangladesh were caged there in the worst possible living condition. Many rare animals large in size were kept in small, rusty cages under open sky, in the freezing cold. Eagles, Golden Hoolock gibbons, white panthers, anaconda, black bears and many other rare animals and birds are living in a terrible condition both in terms of health and environment. They are living away from their own natural habitat without any partner. I still don't understand why the media popularised this criminal act with such enthusiasm. Do we have any Wildlife Protection Act? I sincerely request the authorities concerned to take a bold step to send these animals back to their home- natural forests. May the Almighty forgive Sitesh...

Recently, I visited Sitesh Babu’s Zoo, a place highly recommended by one of my friends. Although the zoo is relatively small, its collection of animals and birds is truly remarkable. Located about 80 kilometers from my home, I had to start my journey early in the morning to make the most of the day. The zoo welcomes visitors daily from 12 PM to 5 PM, making it a convenient spot for an afternoon adventure. The entry fee is incredibly reasonable at just Tk 25 per person, with an additional Tk 25 for car parking. Inside, I was amazed by the variety of local birds and animals. The lively chatter of different monkey species added a playful ambiance, and there were unique animals from the renowned Lawachara National Park, further enhancing the zoo's charm. A highlight for us was seeing the diverse species of cats, which fascinated both my daughter and wife. The journey itself was delightful, and the visit turned into a cherished memory for my family. It’s a place I’d highly recommend to anyone seeking an enjoyable and...

It is utmost to donate money for the better development of the zoo and government can also take some necessary actions for its care. Thank you.

May the Almighty forgive Sitesh Babu and us!
