It's not an enclosed area so there is no time limit for you to explore. You have a great vantage point when the sun is out because then the many colors of the waterfall come alive. There is also a surprising amount of flora and fauna here. Parking is free and there is a cafe just off the trail. If you want to use the bathroom there, you will have to pay if you are not a customer of the cafe. When I visited it was around 2 ISK. Warning about the insects.
