This museum is quite small but cute. The visit will be quite short (about 1 hour maybe) and I suggest to ask at the entrance desk for the brochure explaining the artworks in the rooms. Interesting the original paintings from Erasmus' times. Rare example of Flemish Renaissance landscapes.

Take also a moment to see the garden; there is a splendid and particular chair where to read...

The house is an interesting piece of architecture but the museum itself is disappointing. Not enough explanation about the art pieces, which sometimes have no name. A leaflet is available but not proposed at the reception. You get yo know about it once you started your visit already. Moreover, in nearly all museums I have visited so far, there are always extra info next...

One of the oldest gothic house in Brussels (built in 1515). When I came, no other visitor but me. Handbook from the receptionist is a must because there is no information about the objects. Drizzle, old woods scent, beautiful garden with some proverbs scattered around. Peaceful. Free admission if you have MuseumPass.

A house with the distinct air of a great man. Erasmus' books are on display, plenty of Albrecht Dürer's works and other Flemish masters as well. The small garden is a quiet delight. The Beguinage wasn't open yet, so make sure to ask before you visit. The kind lady told us it would soon be open to the public.

A fine flemish baroque house where Erasmus stayed for some time. It's worth a visit! There are precious original Erasmus' manuscripts, prints and drawings of the age (I spot some Dürer's). An occasion to know more about this extraordinary philosopher. After the visit, take a stroll I the inner garden!
