Noordkasteel — Attraction in Antwerp

Such a unique and very unusual place to find in Antwerp, where there is almost no green neither a lake.

At Noordkasteel you have a beautiful lake surrounded by lots of green. On the South side of the lake you have a (hippy style) bar, which is nice in summer with some live music. On the North side you can find Magiq Spiegeltent which in summer has almost every weekend a party.

In the middle of the lake there is a sailing club where you have the calmest and nicest view, it’s a bit hard to find but the reward is amazing!

There are a lot of signs that swimming is prohibited but lots of people still do in summer. Lots of seaweed and alga in the lake but that’s mostly at the borders. From what I heard from the swimmers it is enjoyable. The police sometimes passes, maybe they will warn you maybe not even say anything but for sure not give...
