Really nice, small but interesting private museum with many fiends from the area (domestic, blacksmith, graveyard). It is probably an official stop on the way from Bavai to Tonngeren and further on to Cologne. Around the stop grew a Gallo-Roman vicus Vodgoriacum. Very friendly and knowledgeable people at the museum, and I hope they succeed with their plans of a larger museum.

Un musée qui deviendra grand ! Les activités archéologiques ont déjà révélé de belles surprises et on imagine que c'est loin d'être terminé. La chaussée romaine de Bavay à Cologne fut un axe important et le vicus de Vodgoriacum figure en bonne place sur la table de Peutinger dont le visiteur peut voir une belle reproduction grandeur nature dans le musée. Ce musée de site est idéalement placé sur la Grande chaussée romaine qui va de Bavay à Cologne en passant par Tongres. Les objets présentés issus des fouilles réalisées sur cette agglomération antique sont représentatifs de la vie à l'époque romaine. L'exposition temporaire (jusqu'au 2 novembre 2025) présente des cartes des 17e et 18e siècles de la chaussée romaine APRÈS l'époque romaine... À aller voir...
