Family excursion with solidly ruined experience. It’s the sum of poor experiences that makes it that bad. It all started with a good intention to spend a day with the kids, having fun. The admittance is outrageously expensive compared to the value for money. Children bigger than 1m pay full fare - which is ridiculous. Other than toddlers I can’t think of children that size - a “theoretical child fee”.
We were 3, so count 27,5 EUR (!!) per head.
Arrived there, we were informed about the recent change in clothing policy, no trunks allowed (anymore). We’re in 2024 and I wonder where the progress goes…. making people wear swimsuits like in the 1950s. Embarrassing, humiliating.
But hey, of course you can purchase those at the entrance. How handy and customer centric! You should count at least 20 EUR for a swimsuit you’ll probably never wear again.
Once out of the cabins, the next surprise (one should be used to by now….) is that lockers aren’t free of charge - but you can’t use coins either. All the way back to the entrance (half naked in your superb new trunks) to …. purchase a 5 EUR token for the locker.
That wasn’t enough of surprise? Then don’t forget putting aside another 15 EUR for the “guest” parking.
We didn’t eat. Feeding a family would have turned out being an investment rather than a purchase.
The cherry on top was the fine feeling of privacy with a camera fixed right above - if not inside the cabin.
Rip off. Level by level.
Unfortunately a sad experience...
Read moreWe’ve been here twice and both times after awhile we kept coughing and we couldn’t stop, i have no idea why but we weren’t the only people who had this.. we’ve seen kids have that too, there’s almost no ventilation in the whole pool unless u go outside. It did ruined it for us for the second time so we decided not to go here anymore. First time we tought it was a coincidence but when you have it for the second time even worse coughing and almost like you can’t get air it’s not worth it. Also for the amount of money you pay, the park is way too small. Food is ridiculous expensive €15 euro’s for only fries with “frikandel” and a beverage. Then you pay already so much per ticket, the parking cost is €15 which is so much, other parks are less expensive like Bellewaerde or Lago also the tickets are.. and when you want a locker to put your stuff away in Plopsaqua u need to pay €5 euro’s for a coin to put in there and you can change it back and you get €3 back but still you pay so much for the ticket + parking + locker and food if you eat there so that’s too much. Really not worth it if you have better swimming parks for less money. It’s really sad because we wanted a nice and fun day but instead we got this....
Read moreAn excellent little waterpark, as long as you find cheap tickets. The parking alone is €10 extra, and a small walk away at the Plopsaland parking lot. The variety of pools is good, as there's a storm/wave pool, a 25m disco pool and an area for the toddlers.
The slides themselves vary too... For semi-hrillseekers, the Capsule Drop is great fun, but it might not satisfy the real adrenaline junkies as the drop is quite short before it flows into a traditional slide. The capsule drop is the only staffed slide, which leads to a free-for-all on the others. Great if you have a youngest who's not quite tall enough but wants to ride with you, TERRIBLE for the Tire Ring slide though as busy periods can often see people hogging rings for several goes, whilst a massive queue builds up.
The food pricing was average theme park, around €10 for an adult meal and €8 for kids. Both meals did include drinks, but there didn't seem to be an option for just fries which would have perhaps been more economical.
Overall, we'll return as the kids had a great time, but perhaps combine the outing into a two-day, two-parl ticket.
Keep an eye out on 365Tickets as the reduced price can make up for the extortionate parking...
