Read morePros: The greenhouses and a little coffee cafe are nice and the only places worth a visit there because the rest of the territory looks more like a wild forrest than a pay-for-entrance garden.
Cons: Facilities (e.g., white staircases in the greenhouse) should be cleaned and painted. They look abandoned a little. Very few toilets on such a huge park. Very few boards with map/directions and it is easy to not know where you are in the park. We got lost and walked into some service area by mistake and also were confused while looking for the Rose garden (roses were not in bloom by the way - and there was no info on that provided). Very little blooming and lots of dried-out greenery due to the dry summer. MuseumPass is accepted, but that information is not mentioned to you when you pay for the tickets online or when you look at the price list on the website. While I have an annual MuseumPass, I ended up buying their 9 EUR ticket online by mistake because it was not properly marked that holders of the MuseumPass do not have to pay. They refused to refund me the money when I contacted them via email. This looks as if it is done on purpose to make...
Read moreWe visited this garden on saturday, and we did not wait long to get our tickets. The parking area is a bit far from the garden, and if you get lucky you can find a plot. It is free and you dOnt need to pay. Enterance lets thoses with Wheelchaire to enter easily as well. The garden itself is huge and you should count on at least 4 hours to finish it. The best part was the castle where you can celebrate your special day or even be there with your office team. As it was the beginning of Septembre, I suppose most of the plants were not as fresh as the beginning of spring. One of the issues that bothered me was lack of water supply in such a huge place! We did not have water with us and in order to get it we had to walk back all the way to bar! They also offered small water bottles in a high price! We did not finish visiting it because of this issue, thOugh! If I wanted to compare it with other botanique gardens, I must say I have seen more beautiful ones than this. But it definitely worth visiting and have a walk with my lOve. Thanks every staff in Plantentuin Meise, and anyone else who is reading...
