Read moreAwesome experience! It was a short ride to get here from our hotel and there was no wait to get in. We went on a Thursday and it was not that busy, which we were surprised because rain was forecasted. We were impressed that this zoo allows you to enter into some of the animal enclosures and view the animals within their natural habitats (i.e. lemurs, monkeys), and in some cases with minimal barriers, if any. The entry fee was nominal (about $10 USD) and we spent about 1.5 hours there. The staff were all very friendly. Shout out to Jemico, one of the zookeepers who went the extra mile. When we mentioned we hadn't seen any lemurs, he offered to take us back to the enclosure and point them out to us. What an experience seeing them up close! The aquarium is on the opposite side where you can see the marine life across several tanks. There was an amazing large tank towards the end with a great variety of sea life including rays, barracuda, and puffer fish. On the zoo grounds there are some scenic views overlooking the water where there are chairs to sit and enjoy the view. The zoo also has a waterfront restaurant, as well as an outdoor children's play area. What a...
