A Delightful Dining Experience at Village Pantry
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Village Pantry in Bermuda and must say, it was a delightful experience. Nestled in a charming location, the ambiance of the restaurant immediately sets a welcoming tone, making it a perfect spot for both casual lunches and romantic dinners.
The menu offers a wide variety of options, but the dish that stood out the most was their Beef Spaghetti. The pasta was cooked to perfection - al dente, just how I like it - and the beef was tender, flavorful, and well-seasoned. The sauce, rich and hearty, complemented the beef and pasta beautifully, creating a symphony of flavors in every bite. It's a dish that showcases the chef's attention to detail and understanding of Italian cuisine.
Aside from the food, the service at Village Pantry deserves commendation. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure our dining experience was nothing short of excellent. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided great recommendations.
If I had to point out an area for improvement, it would be the waiting time for food during peak hours. However, given the quality of the meal and the overall experience, this was a minor inconvenience.
In conclusion, Village Pantry in Bermuda is a gem that offers a fantastic dining experience. The Beef Spaghetti, in particular, is a must-try. Whether you're a local or a visitor to the island, make sure to add this restaurant to your list. I'm already looking forward to my next...
Read moreWe had a reservation and had also inquired about reserved parking and were assured that we would have a parking spot, we did not. It took 15 minutes for us to get a drink and then the waitress bought me something other than what I ordered and suggested I have that instead. I ordered a fish sandwich and my friend ordered the catch of the day, at which time the waitress boldly told us we would be better off eating meat, because the fish will kill us, she then proceeded to describe to us, how it would kill us. We arrived a few minutes after 1:00 pm and did not get our meal until almost 2:30 pm, at which time we had no choice but to ask for a take out container, as I would be now late getting back to work. The short ride to work with nothing but soup in my stomach, culminated in discovering that my fish sandwich was cold and hard from the burnt raisin bread and the fries were cold. This was my first, and my last visit to the Village Pantry. For almost $120.00 and a horrible experience, I could have been more satisfied with another stale piece of banana bread from Buzz for $3.50. I have not been in Bermuda for 10 years and I can tell, you, without hesitation, that the standards, and quality have tanked and the prices have gone...
Read moreI went with my wife based on good Google reviews. Seems we were not so lucky with our experience. To start with, we wanted to start with the coconut mussel pot but there were out of it. So we asked for the quinoa and roasted beet salad and they were out of it too. So we decided to just order the main dishes. I ordered the catch of the day and it was wahoo fish and it came with 2 sides (mashed potato and Brussels sprouts). The taste was ok, but nothing special about it to pay $45. Also small size portions. My wife ordered Casablanca pizza. Was so oily. Was dripping oil. We couldn’t finish it.
The drinks were good.
After we finished we asked them to call a taxi for us and they did. But we waited for almost an hour till we got a taxi. I understand that the taxi is not their fault and they celled few times and we appreciate that. But still, we waited after dinner for a full hour waiting a taxi. So we felt that our experience was not great over all.
Might give it another try. But not...
