The temple looks so simple and new from the outside but as we enter inside the temple I was taken away by the beauty and its absolutely pure and amazing. The main statue is of jowo sakyamuni ( present Buddha) which is said to be made by songtsey geompo in Tibet and was brought here by lam during during to be installed as a main relics in paro dzong but when they were having some rest at present located it's believed that statue got so heavy and when people tried to remove the statue, it's believed that statue spoke to people saying that "this is my destined place to be". Read moreA five minutes walk thorough the left gate of the majestic Paro Dzong leads us to an auspicious, scared monastery embedded in between a small village. Built in 16th century by the eldest son of the reverend Lam Drung Drung, the monastery houses a Jowo, which is believed to have miraculously spoken. The entry into the temple leaves you wondering- the wall painting is still intact, along with some flooring which gives a creaking sound as old structures do.
