The Royal Botanical Garden in Serbithang is a tranquil escape just 15 kilometers from Thimphu. Spanning 28 acres, the garden was established in 1999 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of the Fourth Druk Gyalpo. It's a delightful spot for nature lovers, featuring a diverse array of Bhutan's native plants, including over 600 species of orchids and various rhododendrons.

A highlight is the serene Japanese Garden and the charming Rose Garden. The site also offers a small viewpoint where one can enjoy stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape. It's a perfect place for a leisurely walk, a picnic, or simply to relax and soak in the beauty of Bhutanese flora.

Accessing the garden is straightforward, with options to rent a car or take a taxi from Thimphu, making it an ideal day trip. The garden is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, and visiting during spring provides a particularly enchanting experience with blooms in full display.

Overall, the Royal Botanical Garden at Serbithang is a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature, away from the hustle and...

With a little more love and attention, this place could become a truly beautiful spot for locals and tourists alike. Here’s hoping it...

You can see amazing varieties of flowers and trees in the garden. The entrance of the garden is beautifully decorated. There are many landscapes. Many birds and beautiful butterflies are there. A view point is there from where you can see the the city view and Buddha Point. It is a nice place to enjoy a picnic day with your family and especially with kids. There is a small cafeteria where you can get tea,...
