Park "Safet Zajko" is what happens when you take an abandoned military compound, invest adequate time and resources in it, and reconstruct an entire base into a playground heaven for kids and young adults of all ages.
There is no admittance fee to enter the park. Attractions are numerous, well planned out and situated to accomodate kids of all age groups...a network of paved trails encircles the park connecting everything together...signposts are on almost every corner and are useful and informative.
Positioned in the center of the facility is a botanic garden with streams and waterfalls, connected with wooden bridges and boardwalks. A small lake has also been constucted. During summer months, kids can take rides in pedal boats. This is charged 2 KM for 20 minutes.
Park has a well maintained soccer field and running track, as as several smaller fields and sand courts for various sports. Tennis courts and small gym are also available.
A section of the main trail is reserved for the park's train that takes kids for a ride across the park. This is a paid attraction, charging 2 KM per child for a single round robin across the park - seemingly overpriced, but adequate keeping in mind that admittance to park is free of charge.

Whole park is green with lots of trees, colourful flowers, small and big bushes, and water area. Plenty of park benches, wooden gazebos, playgrounds.
I usually come to run on the professional athletics field. You pay 1KM for 1 hour which is totally fine since that money is used to maintain the tracks and the park in general. There is also a dedicated calisthenics area.
My favourite place to rest and wind down is at the water area. You can just close your eyes and enjoy the water splashes. In summer everything blossoms and it looks magical.
There are a couple of coffee shops and they are well integrated into the park. There is a place to grab an ice cream as well.
If you have small kids they will enjoy the small train they can ride that runs a circle around the whole park.
There are many other services in the park that you can enroll you on a monthly level such as tennis, martial arts, climbing, kids...
