Kgale Hill Public Park — Attraction in South-East District

I've had many great experiences climbing up and down this hill throughout my life. It's a fun and engaging 2 hour trek up and back. Perhaps a bit more time is needed if you decide to spend some more time at the peak. I would recommend to wear comfortable, durable hiking shoes and bring enough water. The hill is not the safest place and there have been many reports of muggins and robberies happening to hikers here, including to friends of mine. Solid hiking trail! The first few minutes from the parking are effectively through industrial grounds, around a quarry fence, but after that it’s straight up and into the hills.
