Trilha do Poção Córrego Grande — Attraction in Região Geográfica Imediata de Florianópolis

We started the walk and after about 300 metres encountered a problem. At that point you need to cross a stream. Due to some rain overnight the "stepping stones" were underwater. After some delay, and helped by a group passing the other way, we removed socks and shoes and negotiated our way across (there was some danger of slipping and falling). The pathway to the falls then follows the stream (there is a seperate trail which goes up the hill). After a few hundred metres you need to cross the stream again. Same problem. We then travelled a few more hundred metres to reach the falls, where you .... have to cross the stream again. It was easier here. The majority of walk is a pleasant walk through rainforest and the highlight for us was coming across two Ariel Toucans. They were beautiful and just what we were looking for. The waterfall at the end is nice as well - although we did not swim...

The beginning of the trail is even and easy, but as you get closer to the waterfall, it becomes a bit wild and not as easy as the descriptions say. You have to walk over rocks and overgrown tree roots, sometimes jump over water to reach another rock. It's a challenge at times and hikers must be fit. O local da TRILHA é bem interessante, principalmente no final, quando se chega no POÇÃO propriamente dito e onde fica a Cachoeira. As dificuldades maiores estão durante o caminho de ida e volta. Com pequenas obras de melhoria, a trilha ficaria bem mais amigável. A maior dificuldade no meu entendimento, está no local onde a trilha atravessa o Córrego e não tem nenhuma forma de atravessar sem entrar na água com bastante cuidado, pois há muitas pedras que podem resultar em pequenos e médios acidentes. Foi o meu caso. Na volta da TRILHA, quando fui atravessar pela água, tive um pequeno escorregão e cai por cima de uma pedra e o resultado foi pequenos arranhões e a perda do meu óculos de grau ( o novo me custou quase R$ 3.000,00 ), além de um estrago no meu Smartphone que estava comigo. É claro que toda esta dificuldade também fica agravada pela minha idade ( 70 anos ). Provavelmente os Trilheiros mais Jovens não tem toda essa dificuldade.
