Cachoeira 3 Tombos — Attraction in Região Imediata de Caraguatatuba-Ubatuba-São Sebastião

Today afternoon the three of us visited the place. The place is wonderful. but we had a really uncomfortable incident! Per person it was 20 reals, but noone told us at the gate in the beginning!!!. At the middle of the trip the guide said it is 20 reals/person. We arrived with 20 reals and a mastercard. We said we can't pay 60 reals in cash, only with card , or later we will bring the cash. the guide's english language skills were not good enough to understand this not complicated thing. he understood we don't want to pay and he said if we don't pay he will call the police. And he left us in the middle of the tracking alone. Unacceptable. Our accommodation is in the same area as where there is the waterfall. So in 15 minutes we brought back the missing 40 reals too, however it was a completely ruined trip and a very bad experience!! They didn't say sorry for ruining our trip and they didn't say thank you for us because we run back with 40 reals to pay for a ruined trip..... extremely disappointing. So if you are not a Portuguese speaking tourist , you should know you must have cash , 20...

We read some negative reviews about the entrance fee and about the ‘mandatory guide’ and didn’t feel great, but went anyway to see for ourselves. We LOVED it! Marcio, our guide, was fantastic. Not only did he provide a guided tour of the falls, he gave us recommendations on best places to visit, took amazing photos of my partner and I, and explained cool facts about some of the nature around us (like he showed us a plant that when you rub the leave on a insect bite, it takes away the pain). His vibe was perfect! 10/10 would recommend (and worth every cent)!

A bela cachoeira dos três tombos é mais uma das belezas do Parque estadual de Ilhabela. A trilha leva até o terceiro tombo com apenas 360 metros de percurso, muito bem estruturada com passarelas de madeira, degraus e corrimão em meio a floresta de mata atlântica é de tirar o fôlego de tanta beleza. Uma jóia escondida no sul de Ilhabela. Na entrada da trilha tem uma guarita onde fica um recepcionista que nos passou todas as informações, e ainda tem a contratação de um guia/monitor para nos acompanhar na trilha, a nossa guia monitora foi a Elcione, ela fez um trabalho incrível nos falando sobre a fauna e flora, e nos contou também sobre a história cidade, tudo de modo lúdico e criativo, foi muito bacana, pois ela nos deixou muito a vontade nas cachoeiras, nos incentivando e orientando de modo tranquilo e seguro para o nosso banho nas três Cachoeiras. Ah e o valor pela contratação dos guias /monitores é de apenas 20 reais por pessoa. Foi uma experiência incrível e as nossas crianças adoraram o passeio. Voltaremos...
