Parque Tanguá — Attraction in Região Geográfica Imediata de Curitiba

Like all of Curitiba's ethnically themed parks, this park is part of the water control system designed by the great local, world renowned architect and urbanist, Jaime Lerner. Tanguá, like many of these parks, was a quarry site along side of a small river or stream. Governor Lerner united the cultural richness of the immigrants who have contributed to the growth and success of Curitiba in the last century, the idea of controlling flooding in the city and the creation of attractions which might draw tourists to the city!! Total success! Tanguá is an especially complex and dramatic project. It covers many acres of area and houses today and long entrance pond with dancing waters, a multi-towered lookout complex which houses, bathrooms, gift shops and cafes and allows visitors varied views of the rest of the park 100 meters below and the forest and villages snuggled into the scenery. Down below, one can walk through varied scenes of woods and lakes, climb to a rocky-topped hill, pass through an old mining tunnel and climb back to the top. From below the view of the fabulous 100 meter man made waterfall is spectacular! Lerner and his team of urbanist in the heyday of their reign out did themselves in this endeavor! It is a half day endeavor again to see everything and the pictures you are able to shoot here are well worth the effort and climbing. Entrada:

Ao entrar no parque, somos recebidos por um chafariz ⛲ que lembra a entrada do Jardim Botânico, porém com um toque ainda mais convidativo. A localização em um bairro nobre, rodeado por mansões, garante um ar de exclusividade e tranquilidade.

Atrações:

Trilhas: Caminhadas revigorantes em meio à natureza exuberante. Ciclovia: Trajeto seguro e agradável para os amantes do ciclismo. Playground: Diversão garantida para as crianças. Lago: Relaxe nos bancos ao redor ou desfrute de um piquenique em família. Cachoeira artificial: Uma queda d'água que parece natural, proporcionando um gostinho da natureza dentro da cidade. Mirante (em reforma): Vista panorâmica do parque e da cidade (indisponível no momento). Caverna (em reforma): Um local intrigante para explorar (fechada para visitação).

Destaques:

Jardim florido: Um espetáculo de cores e aromas que encanta os visitantes. Cachoeira artificial: O som da água caindo e a névoa refrescante criam um ambiente relaxante. Tranquilidade: Um refúgio da agitação da cidade, perfeito para relaxar e se conectar com a natureza.

Dicas:

Leve água e protetor solar, e repelente pois fui picado duas vezes por insetos e abelhas. Use roupas e calçados confortáveis para caminhadas. Se possível, visite o parque durante a semana para evitar a multidão (sim, muito cheio ruim de tirar foto durante semana)

Observações:

A caverna e o mirante estão em reforma e inacessíveis ao público no momento. O parque é pet friendly, mas os animais de estimação devem estar sempre na guia.

O Parque Tanguá é um lugar perfeito para quem busca um refúgio da agitação da cidade, apreciar a beleza natural e se conectar...

Together with Jardim Botânico, Tanguá is the best pro in Curitiba. I suggest you start you walk in the parking lot at the back of the park. There, you reach the Tanguá deck, after that starting the trail and go to the tunnel; if it is closed, go up to the gate. From there, you see the view. Continue the trail and reach the high part of the park, where you have a different view and see all the way you have done. After that, just go down and get you car. If you’ve gone by bus, just grab it and leave - nice to enjoy together with Opera de Arame, Tingui and then head to Santa Felicidade...
