The Baths Beach and caves get most of the attention, perhaps rightfully, but Devil's Bay Beach, the hike to it, are really worth a mention.
Bathroom facilities at the entrance and then an easy hike toward Devil's Bay Beach or The Baths Beach. I would do Devil's Beach first. The rock formations are neat, can be climbed on and through, and the beach is secluded. Expect some traffic but not as crazy as The Baths caves.
After you finish Devil's Bay Beach, you can walk to The Baths Beach and through the caves. It is one way only through the caves, so there's no turning back. Ropes, tricky ladders, and rock caves to go through. This is what all the fuss and pictures are about. The foot traffic can be insane at the caves, so temper expectations. Also, the caves are short yet really neat.
Once through the caves, you end up at Baths Beach. Again, there's no turning back. This beach is similar to Devil's Bay Beach with rock formations and scenery. There are picnic tables, shops selling touristy stuff, and bathrooms. A small uphill hike will return you to the entrance of the park.
Pics are indicative of the entire park, and this is a hot-spot destination for a reason. It...
Read moreWhat an experience for $3! It's rather confusing which trails go where and where you can store your things as it's a one loop. Best bet is to have everything you need in a dry bag, go to Devil's Bay Beach to swim first, do the caves/baths hike, then end at the last beach and grab a drink and snack at Poor man's bar (cash only). It's one way, so take your time and enjoy where you are.
Steep climb down on slippery bedrock and you need to climb, duck, sometimes crawl through the baths. Way back up is easier steps.
Only bad thing was several people, including me, fell into a hole that heavy rains opened up and there is no parking personnel in the actual park part, no way to get help throughout the hike, and the park guide at the ticket booth didn't have...
Read moreWe were there on cruise day which was a huge mistake. There were hordes of people and it took forever to get anywhere. The main carpark has a few shops restrooms and a restaurant with a bar. You descend down an easy sloping trail to the first beach which was pretty with great swimming in very clear water. After that it took an hour to get to the rocks they call caves. That required some effort but not super difficult to negotiate. You have to be careful because it is slippery. That brings you to the second beach with a bar and a few shops. From there is a modest climb back to the main carpark. Do not do this when there are big cruise ships in port the number of people made it unpleasant. Nice, pretty but...
