Museum of Glass — Attraction in Beloslav

The Glass Museum is located right next to the 'Slava' submarine, and tickets for both places can be purchased from the Glass Museum. The first floor has a small shop offering items made in the factory, and there is also a paid tour that, if I'm not mistaken, runs every hour on the hour. They have a schedule available online. We joined the glass museum tour at 1 PM, right after finishing the submarine tour. It was incredibly interesting; our guide explained everything about the factory's operations, production process, and we even witnessed how glass souvenirs are made. The children were fascinated by how this fragile material is stretched like chewing gum right before their eyes. It's a place well worth visiting. Went to both the glass museum and the Slava submarine museum. The glass museum was ok. Wasn't really impressed as the tour guide and glass master were either tired or bored in telling/doing the same thing. The 5 stars are for the submarine. The tour guide there was actually a sailor that was on duty for a couple of years while the sub was still functional. He told us very interesting stories about life underwater and the work dynamic. The experience going in and through the different compartments of the sub is one of a kind. It is a bit claustrophobic and there is a strong smell of diesel but you get used to it. The tour took about 50 minutes but it went by like a flash. Highly recommend it...

В Музея на стъклото правят няколко демонстрации- дърпано, духано стъкло, бижутерско майсторство- висулки и пръстени от стъкло Огромни стъклени колекции от сувенирни изделия, битова стъклария, индустриална стъклария включително емблематичното бурканче от кисело мляко и марковата бутилката на Кока Кола. Лабораторна стъклария, множество, стъклени гарафи за вино, рисувани чаши от колекция гейши. Почетни колекции чаши- на Дан Колов, Футболния клуб Спартак. Съдове от бяло стъкло имитация на порцелан, стъклени икони и стъклопис. Чаши със златни инкрустации, не на последно място и историята на разработката на сребърната паста още през 60г. и вграждането на среброто в стъкло което е уникален способ. Оказва се, че по поръчка за антични стъклени изделия на американски търговец на стъклария в България по мостра на немска сребърна паста, се разработва доста по добра българска сребърна паста и декорираща технология за вграждане в стъклото така че изчезне матовият ефект от температурата.
