New Glamping Site?
I'd second that - it is truly worth all 5stars and well deserved title of Glamping (glamorous camping) campground
Read on...
To be honest, I'd rate it 10/10 but stars go as far as five.
Why 10? Here is the breakdown:
Price-Value - caravan/camper for two 90lv (45€, as of Aug 2023). All amenities/pool services included. VIP pool zones are free for you, an extra charge for others. Please wear footwear and carry a towel when around - it is not only healthy but safe from not becoming a circus athlete.
Clean and spacious campground sitting area with cooktops and many tables and fridges. Free Landry - first time I find such services for free
Cold water to drink off a dispenser - first time I see such feature at a campsite. And it is local mineral water - the reason you came here :)
Toilet paper in all stalls. Really! You no longer have to walk across the camp site with your own roll, advertising your personal intensions :)
The fifth star is given to the site (see pics) - very modern, real grass bed, each pitch supplied with electric and sewer (two-sized drain for caravans or campers). No more dragging the Thetford around, goes right in. Do bring your own hoses and power cords.
I said I'd rate it 10/10. Here are the next 5s
Staff is very, I mean unusually very, polite and accommodating. Cuddos to the owner/manager who trains them
Town is 10-13min walk from the site. A stone-throw away
Campsite is dim-lit at night with 24/7 security cameras. Yes, you can leave your RV unlocked and open windows to vent with no worries.
Excellent Wifi through out
Well-kept and cleaned regularly
Did I mention the 3 best services? Hot/steam room, dry-heat sauna, and Salt Room, for those with breathing issues that can take advantage of...
Of course, let's find some "improvements", or it won't a be true review w/o some remarks:
toilet stalls/bath partitions may not be enough if the site is packed with lots of happy campers
sprinkler system, which turns on at night, wets the path to the toilet. Although you come out "dry" after #1 in the loo, getting back is a dance around the pop-up spouts. Do wear non-slips or else...
restaurant offers only "fast food". I was hoping for more, especially at night. Com'on, you get tired cooking food while camping and want to do a sit down at an unfoldable (inextensible) table, with solid chairs, and be served...
I'd recommend it to all families, solo travelers, and quick-stoppers. Text me if you want to discover town and where the shops and best spots are.
Again, cuddos to the owners, management, staff, and...
the cute girl that collected trash everytime I threw something in the bin :) Cutie, I had an eye on...
Read moreAh, the epitome of quaint grandeur, this minuscule pool resort nestled in the heart of Bulgaria's rugged mountain ranges is nothing short of a hidden gem—or, more aptly, a diamond-in-the-slightly-smudged-rough. Upon entering this oasis, one is immediately struck by the staggering modesty of its facilities, which seem almost too humble for one’s lavish sensibilities. The pool, while more petite in size than the grand lagoons of larger, more ostentatious resorts, possesses a certain je ne sais quoi—perhaps the way its waters glisten in the midday sun like a sapphire amidst the stony embrace of nature’s formidable mountain sentinels.
Ah, the mountains! They rise around the resort like protective guardians, offering a view that one might generously describe as “adequate.” The air, crisp yet not without the subtle whisper of adventure, invigorates the spirit, though it fails to completely overshadow the gentle hum of the local insects—no doubt present to remind one of the raw, untamed wilderness that surrounds this bastion of civility.
The resort's amenities, while few in number, are lovingly described as "rustic." A single outdoor café provides nourishment, where the menu, a study in culinary brevity, showcases dishes that are undoubtedly a nod to local tradition, if not to international flair. One may, perhaps, find solace in a modest plate of shopska salata, its ingredients likely plucked from a nearby village market.
In conclusion, this humble resort may not boast the sweeping extravagance of global destinations, but its appeal lies in its charming simplicity. Here, the discerning traveler is invited to relish in the unhurried pace of life, content in the knowledge that, for a brief moment, they have experienced Bulgaria at its...
Read moreThe facility is very modern and very clean. It gives you the feeling you are on vacation in an exotic country. There is a choice of different pools outside and inside, with different temperatures. There are also a salt room, steam bath and a sauna included in the entrance fee. After 14 o'clock the entrance fee is discounted. But there are also few downsides: The tiles around the pools are very slippery. I forgot in the beginning to put my slippers on and fell down and hurt my arm. Xray tomorrow. It is forbidden to bring food and beverages inside the pool. There is a certain choice of (unhealthy) street food on quite high prices. Pizza was at least tasty and fresh. In my opinion it is not ok to not let people take at least their own water. Of course it is a better profit for the owner, but the policy is not fitting with all diets. To buy refreshments one has to use the bracelet-ticket and scan it st ghe classier. This is great, but the bracelet is prepaid. We were not informed at the entrance and figured it out when we ordered food and had no money on the bracelet to pay. Don't find this way very convenient, as how would i know in the beginning what are the prices and how much and what I will consume in order to put the right amount of money on it (one gets the unused money back in the end, but still in convenient. No option to pay with cash at the bar. And last thing, the changing room is so little that it was difficult to change. There are only 3 showers in the ladies changing room and a long waiting row to get to the showers. The cabins are small...
