We decided to have a three night break and having been to Hissarya three times before, we decided to try the "upmarket Hotel" and booked a Relax Package in the De-Luxe part of the hotel.

It could be a really good hotel, but it let down in many ways. First we went to the Spa and found that no towels were available, you are expected to use your room towels. I have stayed in a lot of spa hotels and this is a first. OK, when we complained, they did give us extra towels, but they should be available at the spa.

Access to the spa, we are not so young but could manage to walk down and up the several flights of stairs to get to the Spa, but there is no access to the spa for people with mobility problems. One of the points of using the spa waters is to benefit from their healing properties, so how can they design a hotel with such bad access for those who might need it the most.

The packages offered include dinner, but if there are not many people, instead of a buffet, a table d'hote menu is available, or BGN25 reduction from the A La Carte menu. The food was good but nothing special and BGN 25 would not even get two courses from the A La Carte. Breakfast was not too bad, but because there were not many people the hot food did not keep hot throughout.

As I said we took the De-Luxe package, there was nothing special about the rooms, a miserable low cost flat screen TV with poor quality pictures and about 20 channels. My wife likes to read before sleeping, but the lighting was so dim that it was impossible. Also the walls were not well insulated, we could hear our neighbour's, fortunately they were not too noisy, when the hotel is not busy, why put people in adjoining rooms.

Overall very disappointing. The package was relatively expensive and was definitely NOT good value for money. I would not...

We decided to treat ourselves and escape the big city on a weekend. The hotel has plenty of parking spaces and is very easy to reach. There is plenty to do spa- and welness-wise, so if you want to try out everything they offer, I'd recommend to stay for 2 nights. We only stayed 1 night in a deluxe room, which gave us access to the deluxe spa area with ice, roman etc bathrooms. For the inside swimming pool one needs a swimming cap, that could be bought there for 5lv each. We didn't have enough time to try out the hyperbaric oxygen chamber, but tried out the fish spa (10lv for 20min), which was a quite nice experience. The restaurant on the 5th floor offers a midday menu and an evening one. There isn't much choice, though, but the pizzas were made there in a stone oven and the white cheese with white cherry jam is just the best!!! The breakfast buffet is rich and the staff is very friendly - the cleaning ladies and the catering staff were very friendly and concerned for one's well-being. Our deluxe room was very quiet as there was hardly anyone outside and it was overlooking the backyard and the hill, so no main roads. I can imagine in the summer it'd get louder as the swimming pool, the tennis court and the football field are all in the backyard. The interior is rather outdated, but it was very clean, no stains, so I was quite happy with the cleanliness also. I'd definitely come back as...

I had deluxe room which was big enough for 2 people and in a good condition. Stuff with which I interacted was friendly and polite. Yes, you have some other activities as tennis and billiard but they are all additional paid, I guess the billiard can be free of charge for the guests but yeah. What I definitely didn't liked is that for the price you pay for deluxe room you don't get something worth it. The SPA is very small and doesn't offer a lot of. I was expecting a lot more. There isn't even a jacuzzi I the Deluxe Spa for which you pay more. The ice shower is simply a bucket with water which you pull by yourself. The ice room is not really ice room, it's 10 degrees and can fit max of 3 people. There are 2 hot chairs and in general everything was designed small. With 10 people in the SPA it will be already crowded. The jacuzzi which was outside was suppose to be 35 degrees, I'm not sure if it was because the small pool on the other side was hotter. Also in order to get from one place to another it's like labiring and you have to walk a lot and to climb a lot of stairs everywhere. The prices for food and drinks are very high as well. Summary If you want good SPA this is not your place. If you want everage SPA with normal/good rooms but on high prices you can go. Pool bar is very...

We booked a standard double room (one big bed) and stayed for 6 nights. We had a great experience - the room was spacious enough, the bathroom was new and clean, the swimming pools were warm and clean. The breakfast buffet was also great. Re: dinner - be mindful that if there's not that many tourists in the hotel, the dinner is at their Panorama restaurant where you'll be offered a set menu with a few options for a three course meal. Otherwise, there's a dinner buffet. We tried both and in either case, you'll have a delicious fresh meal so no issues at all on that front (just wanted to clarify that for other readers who have read prior comments!) The hotel has basically its own park and the views from the rooms are dreamy - you literally have so much greenery and no other big buildings or construction sites in front of you, it's heaven!!! The only slight downside for me were the services offered at the spa - I tried the classic upper body massage and a facial and they were fine but nothing too special for a spa hotel with such traditions. Overall, we're very pleased and we'll be back here again! ☺️

Perfect Spa vacation. I've been a guest of the hotel for short weekends. I also stayed at the swimming pool and spa as a daily visitor recently in May. While the water, the spa and the park are fantastic, one can't tell the same for the service. The prices are too high. We could pay for the outside pool and take advantage of the lower price yet this excludes the spa area and the indoor pool, so not really an option. There isn't anyone to guide the families around the huge area, to show them the playground in the park and to remind screaming and jumping in the swimming pool are disturbing. The outside bars were not open. We couldn't even have water. The local municipality is doing a bad job asking for the blue zone payment by sms every hour, which is not acceptable when one should be relaxing. Despite those failures, that I believe are temporary, I highly recommend staying at Spa Hotel Hissar as a guest of the hotel or as a daily visitor. The healing water and the wonderful park are extraordinary.

From the moment we arrived, it was chaos on wheels—not a single parking space in sight. Why? Because the hotel was packed tighter than a tin of sardines, likely due to some event. Fine, fair enough. But then you step inside, and it only gets worse. Every facility was crammed with people, and to top it off, badly managed and falling apart. It felt less like a functioning hotel and more like a neglected relic from a bygone era. Then there’s the price—through the roof because of the event, but let’s be real: even without the event, it’s ridiculously overpriced. What are we paying for? A trip back in time to the 1980s? Because that’s exactly what this place feels like. Dated decor, tired atmosphere—everything screams "forgotten by time," except for the TV, which seems to be the only thing from this century. Bottom line? A soulless, overpriced, crumbling relic. If this hotel were a dish, it’d be cold, bland, and utterly forgettable.
