Emen Canyon — Attraction in Pavlikeni

Nice eco trail but not near the water as expected for a canyon "trail" but mostly on top of the rock. Even so, the views were super nice, the walk was easy and fun, and the waterfall at the end very rewarding 😊 the path is quite intuitive, the signs are missing from time to time, and multiple paths were created over time, but you can't miss the destination, I would say. If you follow Google maps with destination Emen Canyon, you will end up at the end of a village, don't miss the sign near a suspended bridge, Eco trail, that is the staring point. Follow the path to the right and from the bridge and back, you will not make more then 2 hrs, with visiting the cave, pictures, breaks and snack at the waterfall. If you follow Google maps with destination Eco trail Emen then the starting point will be on the main road, you will see the path through the trees, short walk through the woods and you'll find yourself in notime above the canyon and about 10 min far from the previous starting point. Quite long trail to the waterfall. Built in 2007 and seem did not got any repairs since. At least one bridge marked on map is decayed and not accessible. Magnificent view on the canyon, but could be slippery and even dangerous in wet weather. Do not recommend for children and people below average physical condition. NB! When You reach mark "Waterfall" pointing to remains of wooden stairs (rotten piles), better NOT go there. Slope is 30-45° and covered in slippery dirt. Better continue on straight trail to the left, that descends smoothly to the lake. After reaching lake go right, and You will get to the waterfall with 1 extra kilometer walked, but not risking to become VERY dirty or...
