Tickets you buy from the history museum Entrance is by groups of people with a guide explaining everything as you go. If you see more than 10 people inside it's best to wait for the next group. It's tight and you might not be able to see the things being explained as you go because of the crowd, and you don't get any time of your own to look around. Even so, the tour is at least 40 minutes and the next can't start before exiting, so it's understandable. There is a 5 million year old tree dug out of the mine right at the entrance. On the way you're going to see a lot of instruments and be explained how they work. Not sure if it is available in English, better ask first if you need it. The park that it's located in is...

Great experience, I would highly recommend visiting. There is a parking lot right next to the museum. Thickets are purchased at the entrance of the Regional History Museum. The tours of the Mining Museum are available at every round hour with a guide. The guide is very knowledgeable and explains very well as you walk through the tunnel. The tour takes approximately 30 min. The most amazing part of the museum is the fact that it is a retired mine, which makes it very authentic. There are electric trains, different kinds of carts, equipment, electric motors and drilling machines. Pretty much everything that was used when the mine was...

Had a brilliant time here. It's educational and friendly. The tour underground is great, our guide got us involved and told us things about what it is like to work down there in old time. It is easy to find parking and the place is very family friendly. There were kids with us and the guide was very attentive with them. Very enjoyable for adults and young people alike. Definitely worth visiting by foreigners and Bulgarians. Bulgaria has many hidden gems like this, if you look for them.

Nice visit. Old decomissioned coal mine. Recommend with a guide to tell about the history. Whole tour takes app. one hour or so, the guide is talking about the mine's and workers' history, as well as the city, as it turns out the coal is kinda made in loop so you exit in the precise exact spot where you enter it. Photos inside are not welcome, so keep that in mind, however one does not take trips to take photos, but rather takes photos to remember the trip :)
