PITY FOR THE CITY, HOTEL NOT RECOMENDED On may 15th we made a reservation for two rooms for one night for our family of five. The receptionist offered us in comprehensive english two rooms for the price of 280 lv. After the night in the hotel, corresponding fully to the description on the website, the price at checkout was sudenly 340 lv. The actual receptionist didnāt speak english and was not capable to explain us the change in the price, even after an intensive argumentation expressing our dissatisfaction and her phone call with a collegue. We understood that the rooms were upgraded to more expensive ones without notifing us. We were forced to pay the augmented price. Consequently we found in reviews of Google that this is a common practice in Hotel Elit in Pernik city - find attached screenshot.
In my opinion an anouncement at the check-in by the hotel staff of the necessity to upgrade the rooms with an explanation of the reasons that for with e.g. an offer of breakfest for exchange would represent an adequate communication. Letās not forget that the country is a memeber of the EU. I believe that this review could also serve as an inspiration for the amelioration of services in Bulgaria.
The description of our problem is sent via e-mail to the hotel manager with the demand for a financial...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I spent two nights here in February 2025. The prices are not too high, the rooms are clean and warm, the breakfast is delicious, although not very varied. From the 9th floor there is a pleasant view of small houses with tiled roofs and the mountains surrounding the city. The staff is very polite, many speak English fluently. The layout of the rooms is quite thought out. Soft lighting, sockets near each bed, a work area. On the ground floor there is a restaurant with a fairly varied menu, open until 22:30, which allows you to have dinner if you check in late. There is a shopping center in the same building. The view is slightly spoiled by the old factory located nearby, which they tried to cover with a net and make a courtyard with a pond and a well between it and the hotel, which looks somewhat ridiculous against such an industrial background. The blankets were very thin, and the hotel does not offer slippers and hygiene products except shampoo. I am completely satisfied with my stay at this place and would be happy to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Hotel Elit is a modern hotel situated some hour by car from the capital Sofia. Once found (and that was not easy) it offers most things a visitor will need the rooms are very clean, it provides good food, gym facilities, manicures and massages. The hotel offers free parking and free wifi. It is quite simply wonderful value for money. Our room was large and was not short of the items that matter, toiletries, clean bedding, fine towels wardrobe and cupboards. Eating was reasonable, our choice was basic and it arrived in line with our expectations. Breakfast was fairly basic but the pizza we had taken in the afternoon was first class. The hotel lounge bar area was certainly popular with the towns youngsters, the downside was that their music tastes on the wretched TV's that are to be seen in virtually every east European hotel bar was too loud and not every ones choice. We would most certainly return if we were in the area on a...
