The beach of Arkutino is situated north of town of Primorsko, about 50 km south of Bourgas and just 2.5km northwest of mouth of Ropotamo river. The beach is one of the few not overbuilt beaches on Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
The region is known for its wild beauty and rough sea. Area of Arkutino was nature reserve and there can be found densely populated and diverse habitats ranging from islands, cliffs, sandy beaches, bays, dunes, the Arkutino swamp, to forests and meadows.

There is a free parking area just down to the beach. Make sure that you arrive latest at 10.00 (9.30 during weekends). Two sun-beds with umbrella are worth 25 BGN which is cheaper than on Smokinya and Kavatsi beaches. Read moreI think our timing was somehow bad, but as we got to the beach, what we saw was reddish/black water. Apparently there was a lot of seaweed, which made it impossible to go into the water. Still, some parts of the beach and water were sort of not affected. Super disappointing experience, so we just left. Also, the sand wasn't really clean, although I didn't exepct to find absolutely no cigarette butts or plastic - well, there were plenty. However, I see the potential and assume we just had some bad luck, but it's enough to never consider visiting this...
