Hello dear staff, and everyone else!

I felt the urgent need to give a feedback regarding the hut kitchen, and I'll be sharing the following with you all:

Firstly, lets start with the food condition at first view: The food looked old, and without any respectable texture on it's surface, which means it has spent some significant time in the showcase before getting served to people.

This prices are just too much for the provided quality. They should be at least 3x lower considering the taste and etc.

Probably bad products as well.

Fries were served cold to us like the weather outside.

The bread was also stone cold, and damaging your mouth when eating.

Tables squished way too close without leaving space for the person behind.

Lastly, the one which I would like to talk particularly about, is the BEAN & SAUSAGE dish. It should have been already spoiled and sour when we had it, for the dish had bad taste and smell. Also, all of the stuff mentioned above at the end reflected in stomach pains and other non mentionable discomforts for me and my friends later.

Can't be sure if the products are responsible or the the meal was just a total 0, but nevermind it all leads to the same road.

Use quality products or serve it fresh to customers. If not, just erase this horror from your menu. This applies for everyrhing else, which is coming out from this kitchen. It's just unaccaptable to feed people with that.

This is my...

I got disappointed lately. Previously I visited the hut, it was extremely loud and disturbing at night, I thought it was a single event. Now I visited again and same happened, at 1am i woke up because some people were shouting outside, a child was running on the corridor. At our arrival they gave us a small electric heater and said they will start the central heating soon. There was no central heating at all, the radiator stayed the same ice cold all night, the small electric heater even provided too hot if stayed on, and a disturbing noise of the fan, also it's not safe to use it all night long. Foods and drinks are pretty expensive. Otherwise the hut looks great, rooms are comfortable modern and simple, tidiness (especially the floor) could be upgraded. In the near are nice walking trails, skii schools, viewpoint and possible to reach by car or...

I am so glad that I went to Aleko hut during my 3-day tour of Sofia in March 2025. It is a beautiful place and the closest to the summit that can be reached by a bus (#66). I was surprised that the snow condition was still excellent for skiing when the temperature reached almost 20°C in Sofia, so I will ski next time. I took a bus up and hiked down to Bistristsa, then took a bus there to get back to my hotel. The trails are well marked. The views from the place is absolutely picturesque. I plan to stay there and ski next time when I visit Sofia if I can figure out a good way of transportation to Aleko Hut (a bus is not an option with...

We visited Vitosha for the day and had lunch here. The food was very cheap and very tastey. We had soup, chips, roasted peppers, cucumber salad, sausage, some bread and 2 beers and it only cost about 16 lev. The fire was roaring and it was lovely and cosy. We went at lunch time and even then it wasn't too busy, we had no problem getting a seat. The toilets aren't very nice (no warm water and their holes in the ground rather than actual toilets) and cost 0.5 lev. The staff were friendly with us despite us trying to order in English by just pointing at stuff.

Restaurant food was cold on a cold snowy day. Staff was rude and it wasn't even cheap. How can you in good conscience serve someone old cold chips. Edit 28/11/2023: The owner responded to my review saying 'its a mountain hut, not a restaurant'. I guess it not being a restaurant gives the staff an excuse to be rude and serve old chips. The place had electricity, water and an asphalt road leading to it with urban buses, it is not mt everest. Invest in a microwave.
