Really gorgeous There's 2 ways to get there it really depends weather you want to go at the top of the little-falls or at the bottom but either way you get to play in shallow waters

Top of little falls - get to the closest trail to the edge, then there will be a long slope down ( slippery rocks be careful, you could also quad down there) once down - look for a trail going down with a yellow rope tied to a tree, then you're there

Bottom on the falls - it the same trail going the opposite way the walk is almost an hour long going past a fence where no motor vehicles allowed... it's worth the hike

Enjoy your stay, (camping here is free just clean up your mess, maximum 14 day stay, fun place to go quading dirt-biking mudding, see the "7 sisters" many trails for kids to go biking n there's soft dirt for the kids to play with-depends where you camp n don't eat the Berry's, ) chop down ur own tree get ur own firestarters from Walmart...

Access is from the Allison-Chinook Day Use Area. Do not go up the road labelled Atlas Staging Area (1st picture) or you'll end up going up a road with so many potholes it'll take 10-15 minutes to drive 1km from the sign to the staging area. Once at the lake, go right/anti-clockwise round the lake until you get to a sign with Rainbow Run trail signed going right (2nd picture). Go down the trail (3rd picture) for 200m until you see a sign pointing left for Snowshoe Trail (4th picture) after 200m, you'll see a sign for the trail to the falls itself. You'll cross the brook 4 times on wooden bridges until you get to the falls. It's a there-and-back trail to the falls.

You can do the falls and loop around the lake in an hour or so. Pretty trail, it's flat and very...

Allison Creek Falls can be accessed from Chinook Lake or, in the winter, from the winter parking area. An un-marked dirt trail leads off of Rainbow Run to the falls. The falls are very enjoyable, worth the short hike in. Be prepared that you may need to cross the creek a few times. As well, be bear aware and prepared.

Edit July 5, 2023: The trail has been upgraded since our visit two years ago. Several small bridges have been added, as well as a few signs, saving crossing on logs, or wading across the creek, and a more...

Easy to moderate hike. Used all trails app (accurate for the hike). Was 2+kms - we took our time but in & back would probably take about 45mins. Beautiful Chinook lake with mountain backdrop to start & end your hike. DONT follow google map directions as will take you down parallel road up to skidoo staging area (PLUZ camping area) instead of the lake parking lot where you need to start hike.
