Love, Love, Love! Just got back from a 5-night camping trip with family and I cannot say enough about this lake. A beautiful mix of mountains and blue waters, lovely hikes, campsites are fairly private and lots of them. We don't own water toys but many people did (paddle boards, kayaks...nothing motorized allowed). My 10-year old daughter couldn't get enough of swimming in the lake. Actually none of us could - Grandma included! Lake is rocky but nothing some water shoes can't fix! Lots of sites for a mix of tents, tent trailers, campers and large RV units. (FYI - the loop closest to the lake is down an extremely steep hill so I suggest tents only.) We can't...

Chinook Lake is a beautiful spot for a family getaway! The area is very clean, well-maintained, and peaceful. There’s plenty of parking space, so no stress even on busy days. I also love that there are lots of picnic tables around, making it perfect for a family lunch by the water. The scenery around the lake is stunning — surrounded by lush trees and mountain views that make every moment feel like a postcard. Highly recommend for a relaxing...

Love this lake. The water is beautiful, but very cold. Unfortunately we found glass on the beach so wear shoes. Parking is a nightmare when it’s busy. Lots of picnic areas near the lake. Good fun to bring out a paddle board or kayak. Shade in the afternoon, but bring umbrellas if you can. The beach area is slightly rocky. Lots of walking trails around the lake too. Dog friendly!
