My husband, my 5 year old granddaughter and I camped in Lakeview campground in August. We enjoyed our spacious power site, though we're "grouped" with our neighbours, which was a bit weird, at first, but my granddaughter made a friend and it turned out to be alright. I don't think anyone was impressed with the not well done, amplified karaoke a few sites down that went on through-out the day and well into the night (definitely past quiet time). The camp host was great, her scavenger hunt was a ton of fun and we wished we had more time to do her crafts, but I do wish she had done a bit of touring the area and put a stop to the loud karaoke. The the lake was very low and swimming was not recommended, but it was beautiful and still a great place to explore, especially during the evening when it was quiet. The path system throughout the area and to Brewers campground (where we found the huge amounts of delicious ice cream - also appreciated that there was a dairy free option) was awesome! We will definitely be back to that area again. Maybe we'll go a bit earlier in the summer next time so we can enjoy some swimming, too.

This campsite was pretty nice, but had some inconveniences. On the upside, there are power outlets, picnic tables, and fire pits at every spot, there are a few washrooms and showers scattered throughout the campsite, there is a FANTASTIC ice cream parlor on the beach, and their beach has tons of space with soft sand and a great view. All of these aspects made our trip worthwhile. However, the washroom closest to our spot was horrifically filthy (covered in dead flies, pee and mud) and the outlets in there didn't work. Thankfully, the washroom at the beach is spotless and pleasant but was far from our spot. The camping spots also have very little privacy and are quite cramped. If you have curious pets or children, you'll want to keep a close eye on them because of how easy it is to step into someone else's spot. Overall, our trip was good with occasional inconvenience.

This is a big park with multiple campgrounds located half way between Calgary and Edmonton Alberta a short drive from Hwy 2 down Hwy 12. We stayed at Bewers Campground which had a large beach, big modern playground, concession stand, double boat launch, lots of parking for truck and boat trailers. The boat launch needs repairs but is still serviceable. Multiple shower and flush toilet buildings. Parts of the beach was a little like mudflats but other areas were sandy. Shrubs around campsites provided privacy in some parts of the campground however, other areas had no privacy and very closely packed sites. No services at sites but sani-dump and drinking water are available. This is a destination park on a pretty lake.

We camped at Brewers campground this past summer. Once in "B" and once in "F" circles. We really enjoyed ourselves. Every toilet is a flush toilet, there are loonie showers (about 3-4 minutes of warm/hot water per loonie.) On the warm days we went to the beach, on the colder days we walked on the many walking trails including a lovely boardwalk that overlooks the lake. The concession serves hot food before 6pm and ice cream cones till 8 or 9. Our 4 &6 year old kids loved biking through the different circles of the campground independent from us. There are countless playgrounds, including one at the beach. The beach was sandy and not muddy. The year we went (2019) there was hardly any mosquitoes, we didn't have to use bug spray once surprisingly. There is a convenience store and gas station called the "wooden shoe" close by that is a very well stocked dutch store in addition to other basics you would need. We will come back to...
