I grew up 30 minutes away visiting this beach often throughout my childhood. I brought my daughters here on a Friday afternoon recently and the beach (sand area) seemed not well kept or groomed. Lots of tall grass growing in the sand and it looked like only 1 tractor pass was groomed. Pretty sad to see such a nice beach in such bad shape.

It changes every year. Last year (2019) was actually the worst year as water was dirty and the level went down a lot as I've been camping and checking here over 6 years, however this year, water is back to clean and level goes high.

Sandy beach located within Aspen Provincial Park. Lots of trees for shade in the summer. Park benches lining the beach. A concession stand nearby, as well as washrooms and outdoor showers.

It had dark sand almost muddy. Water was also murky, probably because it was mud down at the bottom. Water isn't deep, just flat. I just sat close to the water and watched them go without fear of them drowning. Plenty of space in the beach line and grass to maintain social distance, but we went on a Friday. It was hotter the next day so might be too crowded on a weekend. But hey, the kids still had fun. They still made a sand castle and played in the water for hours. And that's the...

Nice sand. Parking free, lots and close. Grass area before beach. Shallow for a fair ways. At swimming rope about mid thigh to waist. But water level very low right now so boat launch closed. Colder than sylvan but no sludge or algae like sylvan. Water way cleaner than sylvan. Gulls so some bird stuff but 10 times nicer than sylan. No town though and no...
