We visited the mine site on Friday July 25th with Marley as our guide. We had booked ahead which they recommend. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour despite the odd bit of rain that fell that day. Marley was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all our questions. There was so much to see that the tour time went by very quickly. Things have been well preserved considering the age. I sincerely hope that the site continues to receive funding to be able to maintain and offer these tours to the public. There isn’t a set fee for the tour (though I think it would be well worth it) but there is an option to make a donation which I hope people do.
