It sounds like a fantastic destination where you can fully enjoy boating, swimming, and have a delightful meal ( Bring your own !!). Being conveniently located near the mountain view adds to the charm. The place appears well-maintained, with plenty of parking spaces and available washrooms, making it a convenient stop along the highway.

Nice little lake beside the highway. The fish eluded us this day, but another day will come and we will win.

There are many reasons that make this lake quite unique. It is a graveyard for various vehicles such as train cars and some old trucks. The lake also has numerous freshwater springs feeding it below the surface. As seen in one of the above pictures there is a cave on the north side of the lake which also has water flowing out of it year around. It holds a variety of fish which can be caught in the summer or during the winter. When the wind is blowing from the West the East side of the lake will provide you some shelter. That is a nice place for people to enjoy stand up...

Taken there to see where my daughter and now son-in-law had their wedding invitation pictures photographed. Beautiful serene spot. Watched a train moving along the base of the mountain across the lake and was in awe of just how small that mountain made the train seem even though it wasn't really that far...
