Like most Hot Springs today, it is fed by a hot spring and then tempered with cool water and fed into a swimming pool like environment. They had 4 pools, one of them was at 65°. One was at 68°. One was at 98°, and one was at a 102° Fahrenheit. Was sad it was not hotter but the lifeguard said temple is capped at 40 degrees Celsius by the government. The springs themselves are 50-55 degrees Celsius naturally. The experience was good but it was very crowded. It is also a 17km drive off the main road and it can be slow at times and rough in places. The springs have been around since the 1920's. See pics.

Great little hidden gem by Jasper AB. Honestly, the drive up is a bit scary 🫣 but worth it completely. There is 1 hot 🥵 pool, 1 a little bit cooler and, 2 smaller ones that are super cold 🥶 all in all it was a very clean facility run by the Federal Government. It is handicap accessible but the handicap parking was a bit confusing to find because it’s separate from the main parking area and, behind the pools. Very cute 🥰 place to visit for the day or even a couple days if you want to stay in the hotels 🏨 near by. The pools are great for achey bones 🦴 or muscles 💪 Thank you 😊 for a great day 💕

I visited the Miette Hot Springs in early August 2019 after a challenging hike on the Sulphur Skyline Trail during the morning and it was the perfect combination of activities on a day trip in Jasper!

The Hot Springs are located about an hour northeast of the town of Jasper. I arrived at around noon after completing my hike and there was a line-up, however, it moved fairly quickly. The entrance fee was very reasonable at just under $8 per adult. They had towel and swimsuit rentals if you need. They provided me with one token for the lockers (it is a one time use, so make sure you have everything you need before locking it) and you can pay for extra tokens. The locker room was spacious and clean with washrooms and showers.

The facilities consisted of two large pools filled with natural hot water from the mountain which is loaded with beneficial minerals. One pool was shallow and slightly less hot, intended for children, and the other pool was deeper and hotter for adults. There were also two smaller pools with cold water for cycling between the two temperatures. The pools were not overly crowded during my visit, although it was busy. There were a limited number of chairs on the deck around the pools but I managed to find one for myself. There were incredible views of the mountains on all sides surrounding the pools and it was a peaceful and beautiful setting to relax in the sun and soak in the mineral water. It was very soothing for my sore leg muscles after a difficult hike! If you are doing the Sulphur Skyline, I would recommend completing the hike first and reward yourself with a visit to the hot springs afterwards. I had a lovely experience spending a few hours relaxing here.

I would have liked if the setting at the hot springs had a more natural feel (with rocks, landscaping, plants, etc.), as opposed to just being an open swimming pool, but it was still very nice. It was a great way to spend my last afternoon in Jasper. I would recommend...

We had a mixed experience here. The pool itself is unremarkable and the pool staff's eagerness to manufacture serenity in an already serene environment made it an uncomfortable experience for our family with young, and objectively reasonably behaved, children. I understand where they're coming from, but the experience left a bad taste. It almost felt like our family was being picked on, even though there were only a few people there when we visited and no one complained about kids moving around, quietly, in the pool. The very fact that they were not sitted still like adults somehow meant they were ruining the experience for everyone. I understand the need to create a good experience for guests, but not at the expense of families with young children who paid the same as everyone else to be there. I'd give 2 stars at most for the pool experience itself.

That said, the pool is the least remarkable of the Miette experience. The half hour drive up there is spectacular, the views magnificent, and the short walk to the ruins of the old pool and the hot spring source (it's a small trickle draining down a gutter at the very end of the trail) makes the trip well worth it.

For those who couldn't care less about a slightly warm pool in the middle of the mountains, I recommend walking to the hot spring source and back and hiking the Sulphur trail (we didn't do that as we had children with us). The old ruins of the original pool is also a nice piece of history. You can still see some of the features of the pool...

Amazing hotspring in between mountains with amazing views. Ample parking on site. We went forat thing in the morning on a weekend and had about 5 min of wait to get in so I can see this place getting busy. Waiting area was a bit on the smaller end. When I visited online ticket was not an option it was first come first serve basis. Price can change I have attached a picture and check their website but price was not too expensive for single entry pass. There were enough picnic area/tables unshaded outside near the parking lot. There was a drop off loop all the way to the door. The water was well maintained. Pools were clean staff was nice. Two pools one for kids which was shallow and water less hot and other big one near the restaurant was deep and warmer. Two cold water pool for who want to try contrast immersion. Pools are monitored by staff. There was a restaurant which was closed when we were there. Site provides waterproof diapers, clothes, towels etc for a nominal charge. Site is accessible. Washroom are spacious and well kempt, locker coins were provided at no charge. Shower room was a bit small and had a cloth dryer but only one. Overall kids had fun and we had a good relaxing time. Check out videos and images amd follow for more detailed reviews. There is a bike near by which we didnt do but stay tuned the review will...
