Would have given it 5 if only showers were available. After a day at a beach would have been nice to wash off. No shower available at any time. Was at Site A10-North side and good shady areas. North side has more trees therefor shade. Close to outhouse, water and also there was power at this site. It is indeed close to the highway which can be busy at times but it didnât bother us. Concession was a hit with the kids. Reasonably price. Ice cream was better than most concession at other campground. Order firewood at concession and they can drop it off at your site. Concession is open 11am to 7pm on sunny days and 4pm to 7pm on rainy days which is located by the beach. Little trails was nice and clean. Nice sunrise and sunsets. We went fishing at the other side of the lake but unfortunately we did not catch any but was informed that pike and walleye can be caught. Crystal Spring cheese is about 5mins drive. Lethbridge about 15 mins. Legendary Wing King is a must to try...
Read moreIâve camped here twice now, and I guess you could say there are many pros and cons.
Pros- close to town (Lethbridge) so you have all the stores in case you come unprepared. There is a sand beach (not the best sand, but still sand) There is a concession but I donât know what the hours are like or if it even runs anymore, this last time I went Thursday-Sunday and it wasnât open any days. Lots of toilets (not the flush kind though) Camp sites are close to the main beach area. Parks for children to play at Decent prices per night $32 for non serviced, $41 for serviced (thatâs with tax included)
Cons- not very private sites Highway is right there and very loud with the trucks passing by No showers Lake is very dirty Beach area gets insanely busy on weekends
If you just want a kinda party camp time with friends itâs a good place but if youâre looking to get away from all the hussel bussel this isnât the place to be! Make sure to book ahead as this place does get full...
Read moreWe arrived mid-week in the middle of June to a campground with lots of empty spaces expecting to pay at the park for a campsite only to discover that this park is a reservation only park. We had to call to reserve a site online and pay the additional reservation fee to camp at a park with lots of open sites and onsite staff. This is a rip off! There are two camping areas in this park - one section of the campground is pack tightly together; the other section is spread out along the lake shore. We chose the quiet, nearly empty area with a site that backed onto the lake. We enjoyed the nice lakeside trail and views until evening when the wind shifted, and the smell of cow dung was so bad it drove us indoors. What a stink! This park has a nice boat launch, beach, and playground with lots of picnic space. It is close to a city, but the cow dung stink was too...
