Park Lake — Attraction in Alberta

The good, Great camping, nice playgrounds, nice lake, very shallow wading, inflatables, SUP and Kayaks. The concession was closed the weekend of July 21, seems like it is permanently out of service. The issue with the lake for fishing or swimming is weeds; lots and lots of weeds anywhere past the swimming area. I took my boat with the intent of fishing. It was near impossible, the only place there were not weeds to the surface was in the 20’ deep holes on the lake and those seemed to have, you guessed it, weeds to about 10’ down below. I didn't get any photos cause it was super busy on a Tuesday afternoon. We were all in the water for about 5 minutes until I realized how disgusting the water actually was. There were so many hair worms and parasites. If you didn't touch the water (aka a paddle board or boat), it would be nice, but don't swim in it and don't let your dogs drink the water.
