Dorset Heritage Museum — Attraction in Algonquin Highlands

The Dorset Heritage Museum is a perfect spot to visit when enjoying Lake of Bays! Volunteer Ruth MacLennon was a delightful guide and a wealth of knowledge! And I think she turns 90 in December! This tiny gem of a museum has been carefully curated so all items relate to Dorset or Lake of Bays! Absolutely loved this hidden gem! The lady's who ran it were so kind and we had great conversations! The antiques and historical pieces are incredible!! Highly recommended stopping in! There's a path to walk up the mountain behind. The marked trail on the left is incredibly steep! I'll probably take the slightly longer route to the right next time.
