Emerald Lake is a stunning gem nestled in Yoho National Park, and it’s truly a sight to behold. The lake's vibrant turquoise waters, framed by towering mountains and lush forest, create a picturesque and serene setting that feels almost magical. The gentle trail around the lake offers multiple viewpoints, each providing a different perspective of its captivating color and the surrounding landscape. Whether you’re hiking, kayaking, or simply enjoying a peaceful stroll, the natural beauty of Emerald Lake is both invigorating and calming. The nearby lodge provides a cozy spot to relax and take in the view, adding to the overall charm of the visit. I don't know why Google asks to review the parking lot, but ok.

The parking lot is fine. There are some bathrooms there that seemed sufficient for a rest area

However, it's a very short walk from the parking lot to an amazing lake.

We visited on a hot summer day and the kids seemed to be enjoying the water, felt a bit on the chilly side to me, but you'll have that with glacier fed lakes I guess.

There was a canoe rental place there that was closed (it was late afternoon when we arrived). Sign said $90 an hour. Seemed a bit pricey.

There is a short walk across the bridge to what appeared to be a very nice lake side restaurant. We did not get an opportunity to visit it.

Definitely...

This lake was for me the most impressive place in all of the Canadian Rockies National Parks, even better than overrated Lake Louise (don’t believe everything on instagram…). The deep emerald color is blowing you away, and walking along the shore opens new landscapes all the time. The parking lot is usually overfilled, and people park for literally miles along the road, so at a bad time you could end up having to walk two or three miles after parking… best come very early, or after about 3 pm, the later the better.
