Lower Spiral Tunnel — Attraction in Area A (Kicking Horse/Kinbasket Lake)

Nice stop - it’s an informational stop that explains the building of the train system. It gives the history and shows how it was built. There was a special spiral track and tunnel built to allow the train system to be able to get down the mountains safely. It was a nice learning stop. Then we sent to the upper Spiral Tunnel and saw the upper tunnel through the mountain. It was challenging to see with all the trees but we found it. Nice restrooms available at...

This has, and will always be one of my favourite spots in Canada. While it has changed a lot over the years, one may still be able to catch a long train looping over itself if you're there at the right time. Unfortunately, the viewpoint that used to hang over the tracks is no longer there, and the new point drastically reduces the visibility of tourists trying to get a glimpse of trains...

Here you see one (!) train in the Lower Spiral going from left to right at the bottom of your screen. It pops up at the right side of your screen going to the left and entering the tunnel.
