Wonderful park!!! Amazing view, fresh air, great location, super clean, everything green around. Probably in my top 10 parks along the highway 1 in BC. Everything what you need in the road trip (except the shower 😔) - washroom exist. Had a picnic in the picnic area under the tree in a really hot day, but cool wind from forest and mountains all around are saving you. Spent there much more time than was planned but definitely worth it. Park itself is very diversed: park, picnic area, memorial, sightseeing and viewpoint, lots of historical observations, all Canadian provinces and territories emblems, huge Canadian map and more - enough spoilers, go and...

Went in there to confirm where it's allowed to xc ski in Glacier NP without winter permit (which is at the Illecillewaet Parking Lot, which I saw online on the Parks Canada Website, but we just wanted to be 100% sure), but the information lady said that 'it's nowhere allowed in Glacier NP'. When I pointed out the Illecillewaet Parking Lot, she suddenly said: yes, you can xc ski there, that is, if you can find a parking spot. It was Monday morning and there was plenty of space. Really weird. It was like the information officer didn't want us to go xc skiing or...

Beautiful and moving small park with bathrooms and walking trails. Monument to the railroad workers who built the railroad, and many who were killed in an avalanche. Nice easy walk with plaques, and lots of beautiful wildflowers.

Great spot to stop during a long road trip to stretch your legs and learn a bit about the people who helped build the infrastructure we take for granted today! The bathrooms are large, permanent structure potties, but exceptionally clean and pleasant... Not like the disgusting porta potties you find at many...

Excellent spot to stop along the TransCanada between Golden and Revelstoke. The views and photo ops are breathtaking. There are several historical markers to explain the significance of the area, the bathrooms are clean, there are picnic tables, and - if your time allows - trails to hike. As far as pit stops go, it's definitely deserving of 5 stars.
