Disappointment - we had Moon Curser strongly recommended to us by multiple friends. We attended and were greeted by very kind employees; however, despite paying a rather lofty price of $15 for a tasting (most we’ve been to are usually in the $7-10 area - they explained to us you get a souvenir wine glass...which should be optional as neither of us needed one), we were only provided with FOUR of the five wine samples we were promised. I originally thought I miscounted, only to have my friend mention (during the drive away) that he too noted they lack of a fifth sample. The employees did mention they only had red wines available that day (also, a bizarre occurrence) but to be shortchanged with only four samples seemed very odd. The speaker did mention “if anyone wants to revisit another wine, they are welcome to” but it really shouldn’t be versed that way - don’t assume people will just get that this is the fifth tasting. Anyhow, I clearly need to revisit basic mathematics as does the speaker. Regardless, the wine was decent, but we won’t be returning as this was a rather...
Read moreWe were recently in the area and decided to stop in at noon curser to see if we could squeeze in a tasting. I understand that right now appointments are preferred but a lot of places were more then happy to accommodate us as walk ins even if it meant a small wait. I walked up the stairs and into a completely empty tasting room. Confused I walked back out and was greeted by an employee coming out the side door. I explained that we did not have an appointment but would like to taste if possible, which seemed likely as the tasting room was completely empty. The employee quite rudely told me there was no space and then waited there expectantly for me to leave. She didn’t even offer potential times or days to return. I feel like customer service is a huge selling point for me when visiting wineries and the fact that this vineyard was so unwelcoming and not accommodating ensures I will...
Read moreThe only reason I'm not leaving a 1 is because of Shelley in the wine tasting room, she was great and I'd rate her a 4 or 5. Bob on the other hand, really needs some training. While the other Staff was actually educating the other tasters on wine, Bob stood awkwardly in front of us and said little to nothing at all. When I mentioned "hmm she seems to know a lot about the wine" making it clear that we would like to be talked to about it, he didn't acknowledge or clue in at all. When I asked about wine prices, he smacked his hand a couple times on the menu in front of me. Pretty rude if you ask me. If you're not going to talk to your guests about the wine or attempt to sell to them, then please leave them alone instead of awkwardly standing there not saying anything. Quite the...
