Very unwelcoming and rude staff.
I was touring wineries with a friend buying wine along the way for my return to Alberta. This winery was by far the worst experience.
We walked into an empty room with just one man at the counter, about 30 seconds after entering the room the man barked out "well, are you going to buy some wine or what?!" In which I replied "Yes, that is why I am here." I started to browse the wine on the self on the right side of the room. My friend asked if there was a full list available, in which this man scoffed and exclaimed "Yeah! Right here in front of me!" We both walked over to the counter and looked at the list, we were standing about 2 feet apart. Another employee walks in from the patio and exclaimed "Are you two together?!!" We replied "yes", she exhaled dramatically and stated "Stand together, now I have to disinfect TWO areas!" She continued to scoff, roll her eyes at us. After that outburst I looked at my friend and we decided to walk out. Not once was there a hello or welcome from them. Although the place was empty when we walked in, apparently they do not need the business.
On a positive note there are many other wineries in which the employees had tt had time for us and actually welcomed us. We had no issue purchasing wine at these...
Read moreThis was the best wine tasting experience we have ever had. Fred and Pam welcomed us in to their tasting room as if it was their living room sharing not only their incredible wines with us but their stories behind them which made our experience so personable. We shared laughter and even a few tears as we went through their tasting menu, thoroughly enjoying each sip. Not only are their wines fantastic, their tasting fee gets donated back to the BC Children's Hospital - a cause that we found out is very near and dear to them. It was so refreshing to visit a winery that is so true to their roots without any commercial feel to it. Plus, their patio has a view that is stunning and they are kid and dog friendly too! I can't say enough good things about this place, these people and their wine. Do not visit Osoyoos without...
Read moreThis winery may have mixed reviews, but our experience was great. Rarely do we travel this far South, but we had set out early from Kelowna and the other wineries weren't open yet so we decided to go South and work our way home. The property is pleasant, clean and inviting. The tasting room is using appropriate protocols. Lots of local artwork to look and and purchase. The person who poured our tasting was cheerful and knowledgeable. She answered every question. The Reisling has a great little unique pop of flavor. Yes, they do ask for a donation to BC Children's hospital in lieu of tasting fee. To those reviewers who have complained about this - come on!! It's a measley two bucks. Any other tasting room you will pay a $10.00 tasting fee. So glad we tried it out, we...
